Govt High School Rainawari Iqbal day on May 14, 2016

A Srinagar based NGO Saturday said that it shall be sponsoring a skill development program in Government High School Rainawari.

Speaking at a function in the school premises today in which students participated debating “essence of Allama Iqbal’s Poetry in present times”.

“We shall be asking higher authorities for the permission,” Abu Zar (RA) chairperson, Altaf Muntazir, told the audience. “We shall be supporting a part-time skill development training for the betterment of the student community coming from economically modest-pockets like that from the peripheries of Rainawari.”

The function was presided over by Chief Education Officer Srinagar which also attended by ZEO Srinagar besides functionaries of the Trust including Tafazul Hussain, Shaukat Mukhdoomi, Shujaat Ahmad.

The first, second and third winners of the debate were adjudged by jury headed by Irfan Turabi who also at the conclusion deliberated on the essence of Iqbal’s poetry with its universal application all time.

After the conclusion of the debate in which Fatima from CASET, Bajila and Wahida from Vishwabharti School were adjudged Ist, 2nd and 3rd winners.

The organizers gave away merit-cum-poverty scholarship cheques were distributed among students as recommended by School Authorities.

The Trust felicitated 2015 Matric topper awarding him with scholarship cheque.

Anchored by Riyaz Bhat, the trust lauded the role played by School head Madam Nighat.
