SRINAGAR: The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), under Ministry of External Affairs, is inviting applications for the Atal Bihari Vajpayee General Scholarship Scheme (ABVGSS). Interested candidates can apply at the authorised ICCR A2A portal to avail the scholarship.
The applications for the Atal Bihari Vajpayee General Scholarship Scheme commenced on February 20, 2023 and the last date to apply has been marked at April 30, 2023. Universities have been notified to inform the candidates of their selection before May 31, 2023.
As per the notification available on the ICCR website, the last date of allocation of scholarships and generation of offer letters for students by Indian Missions Abroad is June 30, 2023. The candidates will have to decide on the offer letters before July 15, 2023 to proceed further.
Subject to availability of seats, the second round for allocation of scholarships by Indian Missions abroad will be live between July 22 and July 30, 2023
Candidates are required to hold proficiency in English language to be eligible to apply. The age limit for the candidates applying for the scholarship is marked between 18-33 years for Undergraduate programmes and 18-45 years for Doctoral Programmes.
It is imperative to mention, the applications must be submitted by the candidate himself/herself. Applications submitted on behalf of the candidate by consultancies/middlemen, etc are considered null and void
This scholarship scheme does not facilitate Medical/ Paramedical (Nursing / Physiotherapy/Anesthesia, etc) /Fashion/Law courses/ Integrated courses such as BALLB / bsc and msc etc.
