SRINAGAR: Anti Corruption Bureau on Tuesday arrested Station House Officer and Head Constable of the police station Khag in central Kashmir’s Budgam district, while caught accepting a bribe.

Sources told news agency KDC that on the basis of a complaint by one Syed Tajamul, ACB team headed by DySP rank officer raided the police station Khag and caught SHO and cop red-handed while accepting the bribe.

An official while confirming the arrest of the duo said that both were caught red-handed while accepting the bribe of rupees 4000.

He identified the arrested SHO as Gowhar Ahmad (SI) and Head Constable as Nazir Ahmad.

He said an FIR number 21/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in ACB police station Srinagar and further investigations have been taken up.
