SRINAGAR: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (Anti-Corruption Bureau Jammu and Kashmir) on Tuesday clarified that no paper leak has been confirmed in the Fire Services recruitment examination and dismissed circulating claims on social media as misleading and unverified.
In an official statement, the bureau said it has come to notice that certain social media handles, including “JK Services Selection Board Aspirants,” are spreading claims alleging that the ACB has confirmed a paper leak and that action has been taken only against 106 candidates while others have been left out.
The ACB clarified that these assertions are not based on established facts and are incorrect. It stated that the matter is currently under investigation and no final conclusions have been reached by the competent authority.
The bureau further said that identification of candidates and related actions form part of an ongoing investigative process and are based on prima facie evidence available at different stages, following due legal procedure. It cautioned that such interim steps should not be misinterpreted as the final outcome or as limiting the scope of the probe.
The ACB also advised the public and aspirants to avoid relying on unverified or partial information circulating on social media and to depend only on official communications for accurate updates.
