All Parties Hurriyat Conference led by Syed Ali Geelani Monday said that the statement of Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti was “a big lie and contrary to the ground realities”
CM Ms Mufti had on Sunday, at ‘Kashmir Haat’, said that “the accession of Jammu & Kashmir with India is final and the future of the state is safe with this country”.
“Ms Mehbooba Mufti wants to appease her masters so that she can hold the CM chair for longer time and for this purpose she can go two steps beyond his fanatic coalition partner,” Hurriyat Conference (g) spokesperson said in a statement this evening.
“Hurriyat Conference makes it clear that the people of Jammu & Kashmir hadn’t given her any mandate to make any decision regarding the accession or the future of the state and Muhtarmah Mufti Sahiba is talking beyond her jurisdiction and stature which is making her position more ridiculous,” the spokesperson said.
“The accession with the Indian Union was initiated by an individual person neglecting the wishes and opinion of the masses and the Kashmiri people had never accepted or acknowledged the forced illegal occupation of India here and they are at war with this oppressive country since for seven decades. Mehbooba Mufti has every right to respect the views of her pro-Indian father regarding the accession of the state with India but she has no right to thrust her and her father’s views upon the people of Jammu & Kashmir. If she wants to be a loyal servant of RSS and the Sangh Parivar, nobody will stop her but she has got no rights to insult and disgrace the aspirations and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people,” the spokesperson said.
“The views of Mehbooba Mufti Sahiba that ‘the future of this state is safe with India’ is her compulsion and she is trying to become more loyal than the king otherwise the character and role of India in Kashmir from last 69 years is totally contrary to his statement. Remaining with India had not only taken heavy toll over the lives and property of the Kashmiri nation but their honour, dignity and their Islamic identity is at stake. Till now lakhs of innocent Kashmiri people have been mercilessly killed by the Indian oppressive forces and this killing process is continue even today in the shape of Handwara like massacres. No case is registered, no investigation is held and nobody is held accountable for the crime against the humanity,” the spokesperson added.
