SRINAGAR: A head constable was injured on Friday after his service rifle went off accidentally while he was cleaning it at Pantha Chowk in Srinagar.
Officials said that the head constable, who was posted at the residence of a former MLA, sustained injuries to his leg due to the accidental discharge.
The injured policeman was immediately shifted to a hospital for treatment. While cognisance of the incident has been taken. (JKNS)
