SRINAGAR: National Conference leader and Srinagar MP Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi on Thursday questioned the Jammu and Kashmir administration over the delay in resolving the reservation issue, asking it to either act on the file sent to the Raj Bhavan or “acknowledge” its lack of interest.

“We are waiting for the government. They said they have sent a file to the LG office,” Ruhullah said.
The parliamentarian sought to know when the Lt Governor’s secretariat would take a decision. “When will the LG office bring the file back? If they cannot go, at least tell me when they will come with it? When will they come with the students?” he asked.
Taking a swipe at the administration, the MP said merely claiming to have forwarded the file served little purpose. “Their job is to tell people that we have sent the file. You can see the rest yourself. The government should acknowledge one thing out of the two — then we will see,” he added.
Dismissing speculation about him floating a new political party, MP Ruhullah said, “I do not know who is forming one. Tell me which party I belong to. I do not know anything about this.” (KNS)
