Reacting to a tweet by IAS officer Shah Faesal, former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir and National Conference Vice chairman Omar Abdullah on Tuesday said that “looks like DOPT is determined to chase @shahfaesal out of the civil services.”

Taking to his widely followed twitter handle Omar wrote: “Looks like DOPT is determined to chase @shahfaesal out of the civil services. The last line of this page is shocking & unacceptable where they question Faesal’s “integrity & honesty”. How is a sarcastic tweet dishonest? How does it make him corrupt?(sic).”

Earlier, the government of India asked the Jammu and Kashmir government to initiate departmental action against IAS officer Shah Faesal for what it said violating the All India Services (conduct rules) through a tweet.
