SRINAGAR: All government and private schools across Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district will remain closed on Tuesday as a precautionary measure amid inclement weather, heavy rainfall and rising water levels in rivers and nallahs.
The closure order was issued by the Chief Education Officer, Poonch, citing concerns over the safety of students and school staff.
Authorities said the decision was taken in view of the prevailing weather conditions and the increase in water levels in local water bodies.
All concerned officials and institutions have been directed to ensure strict compliance with the order.
