As on Eid ul Fitr there was mayhem, this Eid, district administration and police has strengthen the security gird in communally sensitive Kishtwar District and its peripheries to thwart any attempt of communal elements to destabilize the peace and tranquility in the District which witness major communal clashes on Eid-ul-Fitar last on August 9, 2013 resulted into the killing of three persons, beside large scale violence and arson of public and government property.
There was threadbare discussion about the security setup which was put in place in and around Eid Nimaz venue and key sensitive areas in Kishtwar town.
As per the details available with Kashmir Life, over 800 police personals , CRPF and SSB personals has been deputed for the security purpose besides over 100 police personals has also been deployed in civvies.
Administration has also decided to depute camera men in the town to cover the public movement.
besides the sources added that the camera men were deputed enroute to Eid procession passing through communally sensitive Hidyal chowk before it cumulates at the shrine of Sufi saint Hazrat Shah Mohammad Fareed-ud-Din Baghdadi (RTA).
Meanwhile former MOS Home Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, former R & B Minister Ghulam Mohammad Saroori and PDP MLC Syed Asgar Ali are in the town for celebrating Eid with their family members.
It is pertinent to mention that following Eid violence, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo resigned as a minister following uproar in both the houses of parliament.
