SRINAGAR: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg on Wednesday said the administration is on high alert and closely monitoring the situation across the Valley in view of the prevailing adverse weather conditions.
Garg said that the Irrigation and Flood Control Department is tracking water levels from South to North Kashmir, with critical gauges being monitored at Sangam in Anantnag and Ram Munshi Bagh in Srinagar.
“All our Deputy Commissioners in South and Central Kashmir are on the ground,” he said, adding that educational institutions had been closed as a precautionary measure.
The Divisional Commissioner assured that the situation is under constant watch and that necessary safety measures have been put in place.
