SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Saturday ordered the transfer and posting of over 90 revenue and administrative officials across the Kashmir division with immediate effect, according to an order issued by the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir .
The transfers, ordered in the interest of administration, affect officials ranging from Saddar Mohasibs, Mohasibs, Girdawar Qanoongos, Readers, and Head Assistants to junior assistants and ward boundary notice staff, and span multiple districts including Srinagar, Baramulla, Kupwara, Budgam, Anantnag, Pulwama, Shopian, Bandipora, Ganderbal and Kulgam.
According to the order, several senior revenue officials have been shifted to key district and divisional offices. Javaid Ahmad Dar, Saddar Mohasib, has been posted to the Deputy Commissioner Office, Baramulla, while Ali Mohammad, Saddar Mohasib, has been transferred to the office of the Collector, Agrarian Reforms, Bandipora. Tariq ul Haq, Saddar Mohasib, has been posted to the Divisional Commissioner Office, Kashmir.
Among other notable postings, Ms Abida, Mohasib, has been transferred to the Deputy Commissioner Office, Kupwara, while Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, Mohasib, has been posted to the Deputy Commissioner Office, Bandipora. Several Head Assistants have also been moved to district headquarters, including postings in Srinagar, Anantnag and Baramulla.
The order lists extensive transfers of Girdawar Qanoongos across tehsil and circle offices, including postings to consolidation, survey and land records, tehsil offices, sub registrar offices and offices of the Sub Divisional Magistrates. A number of officials have been shifted within Baramulla and Kupwara districts, reflecting a significant reorganisation of the revenue machinery in north Kashmir.
The reshuffle also includes transfers to specialised offices such as the Regional Director Survey and Land Records, offices of the Financial Commissioner Revenue, and offices of Deputy Commissioners in Pulwama and Budgam. In one instance, an official posted to Circle Delina, Baramulla, has been directed to continue working in the office of the Financial Commissioner, Revenue, Jammu and Kashmir, the order notes.
All officials covered under the order have been deemed relieved of their previous postings and directed to report to their new places of posting forthwith.
