K K Sharma, newly appointed Advisor to Lt Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu met the latter at the Raj Bhavan in Jammu on Friday.
Lt Governor and Sharma discussed various issues relating to the holistic development of Jammu and Kashmir.
Lt Governor congratulated Sharma for his new appointment and wished him a successful tenure ahead.
Meanwhile, Prof Manoj K Dhar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, also met Lt Governor Girish Chandra Murmu, Chancellor of the University, at the Raj Bhavan.
Prof Dhar briefed Lt. Governor about the challenges facing the functioning of the University, various academic and administrative issues and the initiatives taken in the past months for the overall growth of the University.
Lt Governor advised Prof Dhar to maintain a sustained focus on quality teaching and research activities make University a hub of excellence.
