SRINAGAR: Home Minister Amit Shah has said that the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir will be held within six to eight months after completion of the Delimitation Commission exercise, reports appearing in media said.

“There is no confusion,” Shah told a TV channel in Delhi.

The Delimitation Commission term concludes on March 6 and there could be a brief extension. Jammu and Kashmir is without an elected government is being ruled directly by the central government since June 19, 2018.
