After parting their ways with Hurriyat (M), the six leaders are mulling to join Hurriyat (G), thereby resting rumours that the rebels in Mirwaiz camp are floating fourth faction of Hurriyat.

Confirming the development, Hurriyat (G) spokesperson Ayaz Akbar told Kashmir Life that the six Hurriyat leaders have expressed their willingness to join the Hurriyat (G).

Pertinently, while parting their ways from Hurriyat (M), the six rebels had alleged that Mirwaiz-led Hurriyat has departed from All Parties Hurriyat Conference’s 1993 Constitution and has become defunct over the years.

Hurriyat (M) spokesperson Sunday, however, said, “There is more than what meets the eye. Every one shall come to know about it, soon.”

“We have received a formal letter from these six leaders,” Ayaz said. “But as of now, we are waiting for the return of Syed Ali Geelani – Hurriyat G Chairperson.”

A day after Geelani’s return, Ayaz said Hurriyat (G) advisory council (Majlis-i-Shoora) is scheduled to meet where the final call will be taken.

Moreover, Ayaz said, “We had appealed all the separatists to join and form a ‘grand alliance’ in August last year but then floods hit Kashmir and nothing concrete could happen.”

“Now, we shall take that move ahead and everyone is invited to come forward,” he added.
