SRINAGAR: A court in Delhi has handed over detained human rights activist Khurram Parvez to the federal investigator, NIA, reports appearing in media said. The investigator wants him to confront an IPS officer, who earlier served the nIA, and was arrested for leaking information to Parvez.

NIA arrested its erstwhile officer, Arvind Digvijay Negi, for leaking classified information to Lashkar-e-Toiba, a banned militant outfit.

It was on the application of the NIA seeking week-long custody that Special Judge Parveen Singh has given the custody of Muneer Ahmad Chowdhary, Arshid Ahmad Tonch and Parvez to the federal investigator up to February 25. The investigator said that after Negi’s arrest and the availability of new information generated by the CERT-In (Indian Computer Emergency Response Team), the accused were required.
