A decision was taken by the University to form a four-member proctorial committee which will be headed by Professor Kishan Kumar.

Jawaharlal Nehru University Students Union (JNUSU) joint secretary Saurabh Sharma, who belongs to ABVP, said they demand an “inquiry against all the 10 students who had organized this event”, reports reaching here said.

In what could be termed as “banning of dissent”, the ABVP member demanded that “such incidents should not happen in the campus again”.

To mention, the varsity had witnessed violent clashes between two student groups on Tuesday night over the event after which police were deployed to maintain law and order. The ABVP members had gheroed the function and snapped electricity while organizers continued with the program.

While the organizers originally got the permission to hold this event, it was withdrawn after the ABVP threatened the administration.
