SRINAGAR: After Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast injuring trooper, forces personnel launched a massive search operation in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
As per the reports, during the search operation that followed after the blast, the bomb disposal squad recovered an IED in the same area.
A police official told the local news agency that the IED was fixed about 10 feet away from the first IED in the same orchard area. This area is used by government forces for Naka duty.
Police said the IED blast in which Pradeep Dass, a trooper from 182 Battalion suffered minor injuries in his hands was intended to target convoy moving on the road. The blast went off early without causing any serious damage.
