One-way traffic was on Sunday resumed on the Highway, the only all-weather road connecting Kashmir valley with the rest of the country, after remaining closed for four days due to landslides and shooting stones.

An official said that vehicles from Srinagar was allowed to ply towards Jammu on Sunday, adding that no traffic would be allowed from the opposite direction.

He said that the vehicles stranded on the highway were cleared on Sunday.

The highway was closed for traffic due to landslides and shooting stones at several places along the highway.

Meanwhile, the Srinagar-Leh National Highway and historic 86-km-long Mughal and Anantnag-Kishtwar roads remained closed for the past many days due to accumulation of several feet of snow and slippery road condition.
