After PDP president Mehbooba Mufti called on Governor Wednesday morning to discuss government formation in state, President state Congress Prof. Saif-Ud-Din Soz and MP too called on Governor N. N. Vohra Wednesday, a party statement said.
The statement said that Soz did not discuss any government formation in the state.
“We did not discuss matters related to Government formation in the State or any kind of politics as the subject pertaining to the current political situation,” Soz said, according to the statement.
“These are very difficult times and one has to be cautious, particularly on the subject of Government formation. In my opinion the first step on the Government formation should be taken by the PDP which has made the largest numbers in the J&K Legislative Assembly 2014 – 15. Now, after the PDP takes the first step, Congress will also explain its position to the people of J&K State.”
“We discussed a range of subjects on Socio-Economic development in the J&K State,” the statement said.
