After PDP activist, gunmen ransack house of police officer in Tral

Around two hours after gunmen ransacked house of PDP zonal president Peer Mohammad Ashraf in Tral, suspected militants ransacked the house of a police officer in Batagund Village of same area.

According to reports, at around 10 pm gunmen barged into house of Ghulam Ahmed Bhat, working as Assistant Sub-Inspector and ‘vandalised’ his residence.

As the gunmen made their entry, the inmates had fled from the spot. “Few masked gunmen came inside our house and vandalized the property. Our family members fled from the house,” said a family member of police official.

As the news spread, forces rushed to the spot and started search operation.
