Srinagar

Following the security withdrawal from the separatist leaders including Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, hundreds of youth on Friday registered themselves at the Voluntary Recruitment Camp organised by the youth Awami Action Committee at Jamia Masjid Srinagar to voluntarily protect the APHC chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and to be part of the ongoing movement for the right to self determination.

In a statement issued here, the youth AAC while lauding the enthusiasm of the youth, AAC youth president Mushtaq Sufi said that it was a welcome development that hundreds of youth are coming forward to voluntarily guard Mirwaiz. He said that the registration process has been temporality suspended as thousands have already registered and if the need arises it would be restarted. Sufi said that the enthusiasm shown by youth deserves all applause as youth are the greatest asset of the ongoing Kashmir movement.

Earlier in a week, the government withdrew the all security cover from separatists including Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
