KU Hostels
“All are directed to vacate the hostels by 9.00 a.m tomorrow.”

In a startling development read as “vendetta” by student community, demanding the release of their colleague, Kashmir University administration Thursday afternoon asked all the students to vacate the varsity hostel immediately till further orders.

The order was shot by the Office of the Provost, stating: “This is for the information of all boarders that all hostels of Kashmir University will remain closed w.e.f 26th of June 2015 till further orders. All are directed to vacate the hostels by 9.00 a.m tomorrow.”

Earlier, following the massive in-campus protests by students, KU administration decided to suspend class work for June 26 and June 27.

“The Class work shall remain suspended up till June 27,” a spokesperson of KU said.

Students are demanding release of Muzamil Dar, an English department 3rd semester student arrested by police a few days ago.
