SRINAGAR: National Conference (NC) candidate for the Budgam Assembly by-election, Aga Mehmood, on Tuesday said the constituency would continue to remain a stronghold of the party.
After casting his vote, Mehmood expressed optimism about the outcome, saying he was confident that the people would vote for development.
“Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has pledged to make Budgam a model constituency, and I hope the people will vote to turn this promise into reality,” he said.
He assured that all commitments made to the people would be honoured. “I have urged the voters to support me so that development can be ensured at the grassroots level,” he added.
Commenting on MP Aga Ruhullah, Mehmood said that his impact would be known once the results are declared on November 14.
