Authorities detained Hurriyat (m) chairperson under house arrest on Sunday.
According to a statement of amalgam, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was scheduled to visit home of HMT’s slain youth.
Gowhar Nazir Dar, an engineering student of SSM College of engineering and technology was killed in forces action on November 07.
“Mirwaiz was released from house detention for one day only to be arrested a day after,” the statement said.
Condemning the detention of Mirwaiz, the Hurriyat (m) statement castigated government for arresting senior Hurriyat (g) leader and leading lady separatist, Asiya Andrabi.
