SRINAGAR
The siege in Srinagar’s Ahmad Nagar area ended on Thursday morning after the suspected militant who was trapped in the area, managed his escape in the darkness during night, police sources said.
They added that four policemen were injured after a militant who was trapped lobbed a grenade at them in Ahmad Nagar area of Srinagar city.
The grenade attack was followed by a gun battle after which police sealed off the area as one militant was believed to be trapped in the area.
Sources said that trapped militant managed his escape during the night.
