SRINAGAR: AIIMS Awantipora has issued a fresh recruitment notification inviting applications for faculty positions across multiple medical departments, opening opportunities for qualified professionals in various specialisations.
According to Advertisement No. 67/2026, the recruitment process aims to fill 94 Group ‘A’ posts, including Professors, Additional Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors across 40 departments.
The vacancies include 85 Assistant Professors, 5 Associate Professors, 2 Additional Professors and 2 Professors. Applications will be accepted online through the official portal from May 20 to June 18, 2026.
As per the notification, the institute has been established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) and operates under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare as part of the national AIIMS network.
The pay structure for the advertised posts ranges from Level 12 to Level 14-A under the 7th Central Pay Commission, depending on the post and eligibility criteria.
The recruitment is expected to strengthen medical education, training, and specialised healthcare services at AIIMS Awantipora, which is among the upcoming premier medical institutions in Jammu and Kashmir.
