SRINAGAR: Amid escalating cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan, the Awami Ittihad Party (AIP) on Thursday launched a series of dedicated helpline numbers to assist residents living along the Line of Control (LoC) affected by intensified shelling and firing.
In a statement, AIP Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi said the party has activated support lines to provide immediate relief and assistance to individuals and families stranded in conflict-hit areas. The helplines are intended to offer help with accommodation, emergency support, and aid coordination for those displaced or at risk.
Residents from Karnah, Machill, Keran, Jumagand, Uri, Gurez, Tulail, Bagtore, Tangmarg, and Gulmarg can now contact designated AIP representatives assigned to each area. The party has urged the public to reach out to the listed numbers in case of urgent needs.
