To facilitate the public during road closure, an Air Courier service is being started from Srinagar to Kargil and Jammu to Kargil from first week of January, 2016.
This was informed during a meeting chaired by Divisional commissioner, Kashmir, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon on Saturday to review the measures put in place to facilitate the passengers during closure of the Srinagar- Kargil road due to heavy snow fall, an official statement said this evening.
It was informed that facility will be available from Srinagar to Kargil on every, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday while as the service from Jammu Kargil shall be available on every Monday and Friday.
The meeting was attended by officers of Air Force and other concerned departments.
