SRINAGAR: Air India cancelled its flight AI349 from Singapore to Chennai on Sunday evening due to a technical issue.
In an official statement, as per Hindustan Times report, the airline said, “Flight AI349, scheduled to operate from Singapore to Chennai, has been cancelled due to a maintenance task identified prior to departure that required additional time for rectification.”
The airline added that arrangements are being made to transport affected passengers to Chennai at the earliest. Hotel accommodations are being provided, and passengers are being offered full refunds or complimentary rescheduling based on their preference.
Air India further stated that its ground staff in Singapore are doing everything possible to minimise inconvenience caused by the unexpected disruption.
This incident comes amid a series of recent technical snags reported on some Air India aircraft.
