SRINAGAR: An Air India flight from Delhi to Washington DC, was forced to halt mid-way in Vienna, Austria, on Wednesday post developing a maintenance issue on fuel stop.
As per an NDTV report, Flight AI103, which was operating as per schedule, made a planned refuelling stop in Vienna. However, during routine checking, an extended maintenance task was identified that required immediate rectification and the onward journey to Washington, DC, was cancelled, and all passengers were disembarked in Vienna.
The disruptions in Air India’s services continue to deepen since the Ahmedabad plane crash. Meanwhile, authorities have arranged alternative flights to Delhi or offered full refunds to the passengers.
