SRINAGAR: A Delhi-bound Air India flight (AI315), operated by a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, returned to Hong Kong on Monday, after the pilot reported a suspected technical issue mid-air.
The flight departed Hong Kong at 12:16 pm local time and was scheduled to land in Delhi at 12:20 pm IST. Shortly after takeoff, the pilot detected a possible technical malfunction and decided to return to the departure airport as a precautionary measure.
The aircraft landed safely back in Hong Kong, where all passengers disembarked without incident. The plane is currently undergoing inspection by technical teams to determine the cause of the issue.
Air India has not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident. This is a developing story
