SRINAGAR: Major airlines, including Air India and IndiGo have cancelled flights to and from several cities on Tuesday, May 13, citing safety concerns.

According to official travel advisories issued by both carriers, flights to and from Jammu, Leh, Rajkot, Chandigarh, and several other destinations have been suspended.
Air India, in its advisory posted on social media platform X, confirmed that all flights to and from Jammu, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh, and Rajkot stand cancelled for the day. “We are monitoring the situation and will keep you updated,” the airline stated, urging passengers to check with the contact centre or visit airindia.com for updates.
IndiGo issued a similar travel advisory, listing Jammu, Chandigarh, Leh, Srinagar, and Rajkot as affected destinations. It expressed regret for the disruption and assured that its teams are “actively monitoring the situation and will promptly keep passengers informed of further updates.”

The airline also advised passengers to verify their flight status via the airline’s website or mobile app before heading to the airport. “If you need assistance, we’re just a message or call away, and forever ready to help,” the advisory read.
On Monday, the airport authority of India announced the resumption of flight operations on all 32 airports where it was paused for a brief period following cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan.
Passengers scheduled to travel from the affected cities are advised to remain in contact with their respective airlines and avoid unnecessary travel until further notice.
