SRINAGAR: An Air India Express flight, IX 398, travelling from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to Kozhikode, made an emergency landing at Kochi airport on Thursday morning after a technical issue with the right main landing gear and tyre failure, The Hindu reported.

Carrying 160 passengers, the aircraft touched down safely under full emergency protocols at 9.07 a.m., with all emergency services activated in advance, The Hindu added. No injuries were reported among passengers or crew.
A post-landing inspection confirmed that both right-side tyres had burst. The runway has since been cleared and resumed normal operations.
