The new plans will come into force on October 8, 2026, with existing postpaid subscribers to be migrated to the nearest higher plan within a month, the company said on Wednesday.
An Airtel official said the free international roaming benefit is valued at Rs 2,000. The revised plans therefore represent an effective Rs 50 increase over the current postpaid tariffs.
The annual roaming benefit comprises 5GB of data, 60 minutes of voice calls, 25 outgoing SMS and free incoming SMS, with the package valid for five days.
Customers will be able to activate the complimentary roaming pack whenever they choose. On family postpaid plans, each member will be eligible for the benefit.
Airtel said the new postpaid offerings retain existing benefits while adding free international roaming. The company also cited features such as fast-lane technology, unlimited data and network-level protection against spam and fraudulent links.
Subscribers will continue to have access to entertainment subscriptions and the Airtel Postpaid Advantage Club, which provides exclusive experiences including comedy shows, movie premieres and concerts, the company said.
