An official said that the joint operation was launched based on specific information received from local residents. The operation was carried out jointly by the Army, the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the CRPF.

During the search operation, the joint team recovered one AK-47 rifle, three hand grenades, one Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL) and 30 rounds of ammunition concealed at the site.

The recovered arms and ammunition were seized, and a case has been registered for further investigation.
