SRINAGAR: Alfa Suzuki launched Suzuki Avenis, a scooter powered by Japanese motor maker’s Eco Performance Technology. It is loaded with Suzuki Ride Connect to ensure the sportiest and zippiest ride in town, a company spokesman in Srinagar said.

“The Scooter is launched with Government-mandated side stand interlock feature to enhance safety and ensure that the vehicle does not start when the interlock is engaged, the spokesman said after it was unveiled at the Srinagar showroom by Chairman Alfa Group, Fayaz Ahmad Ahangar in presence of Gowhar Hussain (SHO P/S Shaheed Gunj), Tanveer Ahmad Khan (Branch Head, JK Bank New Secretariat Road), Directors and the entire staff of Alfa Suzuki. The product has been launched at the Anantnag showroom as well.

The company said the scooter was developed by Suzuki engineers and designers keeping the young generation in mind, who want high performance with the convenience and latest technological features in a scooter; and is equipped with a powerful and trusted 125cc engine with FI technology and lightweight body of 106 kgs to deliver the power of 8.7ps@6750rpm and torque of 10Nm@5500rpm.

“The scooter is also loaded with Bluetooth® enabled digital console, coupled with the Suzuki Ride Connect App, a State-of-the-art technology that lets a rider sync the mobile phone seamlessly with vehicle’s console, enabling a rider to benefit with features such as Turn-by-Turn navigation, incoming call, SMS and WhatsApp Alert display, missed call and unread SMS alert*** , speed exceeding warning, , phone battery level display and the estimated time of arrival,” the statement added.

Its price tag falls between Rs 87770 and Rs 88070, ex-showroom. It is available in a diversity of colours.
