All educational institutions will remain closed in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday in view of the search operation in Arampora area.
Officials said that the administration has ordered the closure of all educational institutions in Sopore and adjacent areas today as a precautionary measure.
The step has been taken in wake of the exchange of fire between militants and government forces in the town during a cordon and search operation (CASO).
A brief exchange of fire took place between the militants and the forces early today during a search operation launched by the latter following inputs about the presence of militants.
Reports said that firing has stopped however some militants and believed to be trapped in the area.
