According to a spokesperson of JLNM Hospital, Rainawari, several posts were made on Monday on social media without confirming from concerned doctors or hospital management.

In a statement, the spokesperson said the Hospital has at present 11 beds for Isolation and rest of 120 beds for quarantine contacts. All 4 positive patients are admitted in Isolation Ward whereas 86 contacts are in Quarantine Wards.

The spokesperson said the Isolation Ward has separate aluminium partitioned cabins. It has 11 beds and is equipped with 3 Ventilators and 8 Cardiac Monitors and other necessary equipments required in case of an emergency.

We have to keep all positive patients there until the time our quarantine contacts get shifted to home quarantine. The hospital has wards having 12-bed capacity and we have to keep quarantine contacts in these wards only till they are with us.

The spokesperson said the mother in question who has tested negative and is accompanying her two positive daughters is provided all the required protective gears as per protocol. She is already looking after her two positive kids for last 5 days using protective gears in her separate cabin and her concerns have already been addressed scientifically. The hospital administration are adhering to all universal protocols, the spokesperson added.

This sort of anxiety is a common phenomenon in Isolation and intensive care wards which is being taken care of with effective counselling sessions, the spokesperson added in the statement.
