Police slapped Public Safety Act (PSA) on a drug peddler accused of heading a notorious network in the north town of Barmaulla on Wednesday.

“Sameer Ahmad Mir son of Abdul Khaliq Mir, a resident of Noorbagh Baramulla used to head a notorious network of drug peddlers in the town and we were since long after him,” Station House Officer (SHO) Baramullah, Masarat Mir told Kashmir Life, adding “We are just lodging him to district jail Udhampur under PSA.”

Sameer alias Sameer Steel, was arrested in the town and 200 capsules of  Spasmoproxyvon were recovered from him. Sources said that a cash of Rs 23180 was also seized from his possession when arrested.

They added that Sameer has been booked under many sections of NDPS.
