Miloslav Stasek, ambassador of Czech Republic, met NN Vohra, Governor Jammu and Kashmir, at Raj Bhavan, here this evening.
As per a statement, the Governor and the ambassador discussed various matters of mutual interest to both India and the Czech Republic during their hour long meeting.
Andrea Kucerova, deputy chief of mission, political affairs, embassy of Czech Republic in New Delhi, accompanied the ambassador during his meeting with the Governor.
The ambassador later met the provincial president National Conference, Devender Singh Rana and discussed Jammu and Kashmir’s overall situation and the development, socio economic transformation and self reliance during last four years of Omar Abdullah’s tenure.
Stasek with a team of envoys is currently on a visit of the state to identify areas of possible economic cooperation with special emphasis on industry, engineering, agriculture, water management and infrastructure. The team is also evaluating the possible cooperation in education and tourism besides deliberating on possibilities for strengthening the bilateral cooperation.
