Amid the complete shutdown on Saturday, Clashes erupted between the government forces and youth in Anantnag Township over the attacks on Kashmiris outside the valley.

Reports said that amid the anti-governmental and pro-freedom slogans a group of youth assembled at Lal-chowk and pelted government forces with stones, triggering clashes.

The reports of stone pelting were also reported from Acchabal Adda, Mini-Kadal, Mattan chowk, Kadipora and K P roads areas of the district. Meanwhile, the district is observing a complete shutdown over the attacks on Kashmiris in Jammu, Uttrakhand, Bihar, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Delhi, Maharashtra, Pune and other states of the county.
