Amidst the cold wave of 3 to 4 degrees Celsius in Kargil district of Ladakh region, the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages managed to organize a multilingual composite Mushaira at Academy Hall, Baroo, Kargil on Wednesday.
Under the president ship of a local poet and writer who has been a state awardee, Haji Sadiq Ali Sadiq, the mushaira constituted of 22 poets from different parts of Kargil. The poets rendered their poetry in Balti, Purgi, Shina and Urdu.
“The objective of the poetic sitting was to attract the budding poets to share platform with the senior poets so that they get an opportunity to polish their talents under their guidance,” Muhammad Ali Tak, Cultural officer, said while speaking at the function.
