SRINAGAR: Srinagar is set to host one of the biggest employment drives of the year, as the Iqbal Institute of Technology and Management (IITM) in Hyderpora gears up for a Mega Job Fair on August 30, 2025. Organised by the Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) in collaboration with IITM, the day-long event promises to bring together over 5,000 job seekers and more than 30 recruiting companies under one platform.
The organisers have announced that more than 4,000 vacancies will be on offer across a wide spectrum of industries, including telecom, hospitality, FMCG, retail, BPO, logistics, and other sectors. Openings will cater to both entry-level and experienced candidates, with recruiters looking to fill positions at multiple levels.
The job fair, running from 10 am to 4 pm at the IITM campus in Laloo Sheshgari Bagh, Hyderpora, will be free for all participants. A pre-event Employability Training Programme (ETP) session will be offered to registered candidates to help them prepare for the recruitment process. The eligibility criteria specify a minimum age of 18 years, and applicants may include freshers as well as experienced professionals. Candidates with qualifications ranging from Class X and XII pass to graduates and postgraduates can take part.
Organisers have advised participants to carry at least ten printed copies of their résumé and to adhere to a formal dress code. With a large turnout expected, the event is being projected as a significant opportunity for Kashmir’s youth to access diverse employment prospects without leaving the Valley.
AMP, which is spearheading the initiative, has described the job fair as part of its larger mission to “employ, empower, and evolve” the local workforce. Venue partner IITM, affiliated with the University of Kashmir, has expressed hope that the event will act as a bridge between employers and the Valley’s growing pool of educated job seekers. The Hamdard Learning and Welfare Society has also come on board as the event partner.
For registration, interested candidates have been directed to apply online through a dedicated link, while helplines have been set up to guide participants through the process.
