A complete shutdown is being observed in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday to mourn the killing of two militants.

Reports said that all shops and other business establishments are closed in the town while traffic is off the roads. Heavy deployment remained on various spots across the Anantnag town and some other areas to thwart any attempts of protests.

Two Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) militants identified as Faisal Nazir Mir son of Nazir Ahmad Mir a B Tech graduate of Kharbugh Srigufara at present FM Gali Naibasti KP road Anantnag and another one a Pakistani national were killed in a gunfight with forces in forest area of Kharpora and Kachwan in Larnoo area of Kokernag on Tuesday.
