The residents of Andergam Pattan area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district alleges that they are facing the worst water crisis as the village has no drinking water supply facility.

Abdul Ahad, a local told Kashmir Life that the women of the area have to walk a long distance to fetch drinking water from the nearby villages.

Another local, Mohammad Ramzan said that they had approached the PHE Department Pattan for water supply, however, they blamed that the authorities did not show any positive response.

Villagers appealed District Development Commissioner Baramulla and Executive Engineer PHE Baramulla to intervene and ensure drinking water supply to the area.

Kashmir life contacted Executive Engineer PHE Baramulla Zaffar Ahmad, he said, “I will look into matter and hopefully the problem of the public will be addressed soon.”
