A group of people on Wednesday set ablaze a truck carrying bovine animals in Ramban district of Jammu region.
Reports said that a truck loaded with bovine animals was stopped by a mob on the highway at Kohbag, Ramban when it was on way to Kashmir. Reports also said that the driver of the vehicle left the truck and fled from the spot.
Around two dozen animals were freed from the truck and the truck was set ablaze following which the traffic on the highway remained suspended for nearly two hours. Meanwhile, police have registered a case and further investigations have been taken up.
