SRINAGAR: NHPC Executive Director Anish Gouraha on Friday assumed charge as the regional head of the PSU’s operations in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
According to an official spokesperson, Gouraha has taken over as head of NHPC Limited’s regional office in Jammu and will oversee the company’s power stations and projects across both Union Territories.
Soon after assuming charge, he interacted with officials of the Salal Power Station and the Sawalkote project. He emphasised operational efficiency and called upon employees to work with commitment towards sustainable energy development in the region.
Gouraha is a seasoned professional with nearly 29 years of experience. He holds a degree in electrical engineering from GEC Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, and an MBA in human resources.
He joined NHPC in 1997 at the Salal Power Station and has since served in several key assignments, including the Tattapani geothermal project and the design (E and M) division at the corporate office.
