SRINAGAR: Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar on Saturday paid tributes to Umm-ul-Momineen Hazrat Khadija-tul-Kabra (RA) on her passing away anniversary.

In a statement, Anjuman on behalf of the Auqaf and its incarcerated Chief Mirwaiz Umar Farooq paid glowing tributes to Hazrat Khadija-tul-Kubra’s (RA) historic, selfless and great services to Islam and Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW), terming her contribution as unforgettable.

Umm-ul-Momineen (RA) was among the first women who sacrificed everything for Islam and Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Anjuman said.

Meanwhile, Anjuman expressed deep sorrow and regret over the fact that as per past practice on 10th Ramadan, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq could not deliver a special sermon on the contribution of Hazrat Khadija at the historic shrine of Dastgeer Sahib (RA) Khanyar due to his continued house arrest which is extremely painful and disturbing for the Kashmiri people.

Anjuman reiterated its public demand for an end to the detention of the Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir during the blessed month of Ramadan. (KNO)
