SRINAGAR: Minister of Consumer Affairs, Public Services, and Sports, Satish Sharma, announced on Friday that a formal declaration on providing double rations and 12 gas cylinders per year to the residents of Jammu and Kashmir will be made soon.
“Modalities are being finalised, and the official announcement on double rations and 12 gas cylinders will be made public very shortly,” Minister for CA&PS, Sports, and Transport, Satish Sharma, told the House on the final day of the session.
He added that transport, particularly public transport, is also being streamlined for the public’s benefit. The Minister expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for placing trust in him and allowing him to serve the people of Jammu and Kashmir. (KNO)
